The Commercial Closet Association (US) last Monday, at the 4th Images In Advertising Awards, honoured companies that best demonstrated inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) individuals in print, TV and internet advertising campaigns over the past year.

The top honour for outstanding commercial was Levi’s Jeans. Other top winners included Switzerland Tourism, BMW, General Motors, Paris Tourism & IKEA. The winning advertisements can be viewed at

GaySat.tv – Coming Soon to Australia

Tourism Ireland wins award promoting Ireland to Gay & Lesbian travellers

Advertisers in the 2007 Mardi Gras guide were called upon to "make their ads a little bit naughty, cheeky and a little bit kooky”. Tourism Ireland was the winner for the most creative ad using an image of a rainbow flag with a pun on the word 'Gaelic' which became “Gaylic…your very own Ireland”.
